Trading Online Voucher Scheme: Secure €2,500 to Grow Your Business Online
The Trading Online Voucher Scheme helps small businesses in Ireland strengthen their online presence. Get up to €2,500 in funding to build an e-Commerce website, integrate online payments, or launch a digital marketing strategy that brings in new customers.

Why Businesses Trust Us With Their Trading Online Voucher
What Is the LEO Trading Online Voucher Scheme?
The Trading Online Voucher (TOV) is a grant of up to €2,500. It supports small Irish businesses that want to expand their online trading activity. Administered by your Local Enterprise Office, this funding covers 50% of eligible project costs. The voucher can support eCommerce website development, online advertising, and implementing online payments. You must not begin work until you receive formal approval.
This online voucher scheme is part of Ireland’s National Digital Strategy. It encourages SMEs to trade online, reach new markets, and improve digital capability. Thousands of successful applicants have upgraded their websites, added online payment systems, and launched digital marketing strategies through this programme.
Full Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Trading Online Voucher Scheme, your business must:
- Employ 10 or fewer people
- Turn over less than €2 million per year
- Be trading for at least 6 months (with documentation)
- Be based in the LEO region where you apply
- Have a limited online trading presence
- Submit three supplier quotes
- Complete a Trading Online Voucher webinar hosted by your Local Enterprise Office
- Not fall into excluded sectors defined by NACE codes
If you already received a voucher, you may apply for a second voucher once the original has been fully drawn down and claimed.
Local Enterprise Office Application Form
The Trading Online Voucher application process is straightforward. But you must follow each step carefully to access funding.
1. Attend the Mandatory Webinar
Book a free 2-hour Trading Online Voucher webinar with your Local Enterprise Office. It covers the online voucher scheme, what qualifies as eligible expenditure, and how to complete your application form.
2. Get Three Supplier Quotes
You must engage at least three suppliers and request formal quotes. These can be sent via email or in writing. You don’t have to select the lowest bid, but you must submit all three quotes when applying.
3. Complete the Application Form
Fill in the LEO online voucher application form with your business registration details, project plan, and quotes. Include proper documentation and submit it to your Local Enterprise Office.
4. Wait for Approval
Only begin the work after receiving written confirmation. Starting early makes your project ineligible for grant aid.
5. Complete Project & Claim Your Grant
Once approved, you’ll have 4–6 months to complete the work. Pay all costs upfront, submit invoices, proof of payment, tax clearance, and a summary report. The grant is paid in one payment phase, once everything is verified.
